Advocates supports a comprehensive highway, auto and motor carrier safety agenda. These issues represent major components of the “unfinished safety agenda” and include teen driving, child safety, occupant protection, impaired driving, motor carrier and motorcoach safety, vehicle safety standards, distracted driving and adequate funding for federal highway and auto safety agencies.

Legislation has been introduced in the 112th Congress to strengthen teen driving, motorcoach, and truck safety, require vehicle safety rulemakings as well as to address impaired and distracted driving. The links below highlight several of Advocates’ legislative priorities.
