Advocates' 2009 Federal Program

Click here for testimony presented by Jacqueline Gillan, Vice President of Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety before a hearing held by the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works in July 2008, examining highway safety challenges and needs in the upcoming Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient, Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) reauthorization.  The statement is a good summary of key issues included in Advocates' 2009 federal program, many of which will be debated and deliberated in the SAFETEA-LU reauthorization.
